Chat almost breaks something, but Marinette makes a really brilliant save dive.Ĭhat looks down at her, with the object in her hands. They spend the next twenty minutes dusting together. She comes back a moment later, holding three dusters. “Okay, no funny business, I’ll be back with the dusters in a moment,” Marinette says, leaving the room. “Oh,” Juleka says in response, because what else can she say? She doesn’t know what Marinette’s experience was like. But she continues to help contain the yarn in its place, and rerolls the balls back up around her fist. She holds up the hand that doesn’t have claws. “Chat, no touching, your claws are going to ruin it. “Right now, what I’m working on is detangling the yarn,” Marinette explains.

Marinette has a bin dragged out that’s full of yarn. Juleka’s been in Marinette’s room before, and it’s always something resembling an organized mess. He dives down the trapdoor first, and she follows, reluctantly. “You can come in now!”Ĭhat opens up the trapdoor. There’s some loud talking, but nothing breaks down there, so it’s fine. “Give me a moment.” She ducks back down into her room. “I mean, we’re here to help out around the city.” “Anyways, chronic procrastinator that I am, I put off cleaning my room until today, and tomorrow’s the new year, so…yeah, not a good time,” Marinette says. Juleka remembers the mooncakes Marinette has brought into school before, but…those are for a different holiday, she thinks. “Oh, we’re supposed to start the new year with a freshly cleaned home!” Marinette answers. “There’s always a big cleaning frenzy, and my parents let me clean my own room so they don’t have to dig through my stuff, but…”
“The usual stuff for this time of year,” Marinette says. “What’s going on?” Chat asks, dropping the posturing. She lifts herself out of the trapdoor slowly, and Juleka realizes then that Marinette is tired.
“This isn’t a great time,” Marinette says. Marinette is her friend, but Juleka’s not allowed to say anything about it, she’s not allowed to jeopardize her identity. “Brought Tigress with me.” She approaches and waves to Marinette. “Just dropping by,” he answers, leaning on his baton. “Chat Noir? What are you doing here?” she asks. Chat’s the one who knocks on the door, and Marinette pokes her head out. “If she doesn’t want us there, she’ll kick us out.”įamous last words, she thinks, but she keeps that thought to herself as they land on the balcony. “It was a while ago, when we were fighting Evillustrator.”Ĭhat shrugs. “Oh, Ladybug introduced me to her,” Chat answers as he lands on the balcony. Ramier from getting akumatized again…Īnd when Chat finally deviates, he takes them towards the center of the city, towards…her school? What?Īnd then she realizes where they’re really going - Marinette’s house. He leads her around the city, and they help out around town a little bit - help a group of kids going to Sunday school, help a grocery store owner bring in a delivery, prevent M. “.then it’s still fine,” Juleka answers, picking up on what he’s trying to say.
